Patrick Bungard, a CSUSB administrative analyst in Academic Scheduling, has completed the requirements to become a Certified CourseLeaf Professional  (CCLP) in three of its modules: CAT (catalog editing tool), CIM (curriculum management software) and CLSS (academic scheduling software).

The Certified CourseLeaf Professional is a credential offered to higher-education administrators that demonstrate proficiency in using CourseLeaf solutions. The certification consists of learning from videos, interactive workshops, practicums, and assessments based on real-world skills and knowledge.

As an administrative analyst, Bungard’s journey reflects true professional dedication.

“As a self-proclaimed techie, I enjoy getting behind the scenes to solve problems,” he said. “Not having a degree in programming hinders that a bit, but that is where the CCLPs fill the gap. Becoming certified in different modules gives me more access to troubleshoot our issues and resolve them appropriately.”

Bungard began his certification path in the spring of 2023 with CourseLeaf CIM. He completed the CLSS certification in the fall of 2023 and then the CAT certification in the fall of 2024. His achievement demonstrates the power of continuous learning and professional development in higher education administration.
