Qualified juniors and seniors attending school in the Victor Valley Union High School District will have the opportunity to enroll in college classes in the 2025-26 school year, thanks to a new agreement between Cal State San Bernardino and the district.

CSUSB and the high school district, through a memorandum of understanding, will launch the High School University Program (HSUP), which allows qualified students to begin their college education before they graduate from high school. HSUP classes will be held at Adelanto, Cobalt Institute Math & Science, Lakeview Leadership Academy, Silverado, University Prep, and Victor Valley high schools.

HSUP students will have the opportunity to experience the academic rigors of college-level classes, following college-level curriculum developed with CSUSB, on a part-time basis as they take approved courses convenient for their high school schedule during the traditional academic year. Completion of the college courses count toward their college degree.

The High School University Program is only offered for specific preexisting cohorts. The Victor Valley Union High School District program was made possible by a grant from made possible with a grant from the K-16 Collaborative & the Gates Foundation.

Interested students should check with their high school to see if it provides a current cohort, or contact HSUP@csusb.edu.
