San Bernardino Mayor Helen Tran will give the keynote address at the annual Womxn’s Leadership Conference, which takes place March 29 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Santos Manuel Student Union South.

The annual Womxn’s History Month celebration at Cal State San Bernardino will feature a variety of events that highlight the achievements and contributions of women, which started with an opening ceremony on March 4. This year, the events will focus on the theme, “Sisterhood & Solidarity.”

Kim Carter, founder and ambassador of Time for Change Foundation, is a community activist who has received more than 200 accolades and whose personal story was told in the 2022 film, “Tell It Like a Woman,” played by Jennifer Hudson.

Nalleli Cobo, environmental activist, and Funmilola Fagbamila, playwright, scholar and artist, joined the conference to share their stories and empower the audience to make positive changes within the community.
