
CSUSB alumnus Edward Lockridge is the founder and CEO of My Freight Staff, a Rancho Cucamonga-based company that provides virtual assistants to the freight transportation industry, employing about 20 staff locally and 3,000 worldwide.

Associate Professor of Geography and Environmental Studies Jennifer Alford was named the winner of Cal State San Bernardino’s 2024-25 Golden Apple Award for her exceptional and vast teaching record. This is the second year in a row that a professor in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences has achieved this prestigious honor.

At Cal State San Bernardino, sociology professor Megan Carroll’s mentorship has been transformative for senior Erick Herrera, inspiring their academic journey from an undeclared major to a Mellon Mays Scholar and Sally Casanova Pre-Doctoral Scholar, double-majoring in sociology and ethnic studies.

To Jesse Felix and Alfredo Barcenas, mentorship is learning from and growing with one another, no matter who is the mentor or mentee. And for both of them, their CSUSB mentorship experiences have gone full circle.
