Cal State San Bernardino’s annual Faculty and Staff Giving Campaign returned April 6-24, uniting faculty, staff and campus partners in support of student success and essential campus resources across the San Bernardino and Palm Desert campuses.
The campaign raised more than $80,000 from nearly 300 donors, reflecting strong participation driven by events, ambassador outreach and campuswide communications. Donor appreciation remained a central focus, highlighting the lasting impact of faculty and staff generosity.
A featured highlight of this year’s campaign was “Rooted in Legacy: A Donor Appreciation Experience,” which recognized long-term supporters — particularly payroll deduction donors of 10 or more years — through a plant pot painting activity. Donors received a succulent to take home, symbolizing growth and appreciation.
Building on early outreach that began in late February, the campaign featured a centralized fundraising webpage and a series of engagement events, including donut pop-ups and appreciation luncheons at both campuses. Themed giving days highlighted key initiatives, such as scholarships, the Obershaw DEN food pantry, the Staff Emergency Fund, the Disaster Preparedness Fund and the Undocumented Student Success Center.
Donors supported critical campus needs, including emergency preparedness supplies, employee assistance, food security programs and student scholarships, all of which directly benefit the campus community.
