CSUSB administrator earns First Star Brilliance Award at 25th anniversary celebration

Kurt Manio, director of CSUSB’s First Star Academy and associate director of Cal-SOAP, was recognized with the First Star Brilliance Award for his exceptional leadership, commitment and impact at the First Star 25th Anniversary Celebration — an inspiring evening of storytelling, recognition and reflection on a legacy of service to youth in foster care.

Targeted support, resources and services will be provided to Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) students at CSUSB thanks to funding from California State University.

CSUSB receives $360,000 grant to support AANHPI students

The funding has been used to create CSUSB’s Yotie Oso Undergraduate Retention and Success Program, which will enhance support to Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander students and foster Inland Empire area relationships.
