More than 1,000 alumni, students, faculty, staff and community residents took part in Cal State San Bernardino’s annual homecoming festivities on Oct. 21.
More than 200 people ran or walked in the second annual Run Like A Mother 5K at Cal State San Bernardino on Saturday, Oct. 21, which this year was held in memory of slain student Jordyn Rivera.
Cal State San Bernardino will be the venue for a town hall meeting with San Bernardino Mayor R. Carey Davis beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at the Santos Manuel Student Union.

“Confederate Memorials and the Lingering Legacy of Racism in America’s South,” by Ryan Keating, CSUSB associate professor of history, will be presented on Wednesday, Nov. 1, from noon-1:30 p.m. at the John M. Pfau Library, PL-5005R.
About 75 people, mostly CSUSB students, faculty and staff, along with city residents, attended the forum to meet with Mayor R. Carey Davis to discuss issues in the city.
First-year students at CSUSB continued a tradition of volunteering that will benefit needy families this Thanksgiving in San Bernardino County and foster youth in the Coachella Valley as part of national Make A Difference Day.
This year’s competition, presented by the CSUSB Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship (IECE), will be held Monday, Nov. 6, from 5-9 p.m. at the Esri Conference Center, 380 New York St., Redlands.
Two workshops are scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 7 in the Lower Commons.
