Paul Granillo, a CSUSB alumnus and president and CEO of the Inland Empire Economic Partnership, will be honored at the May 17 Spring Commencement with a CSU Trustee-Nominated Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters.

On May 5, CSUSB and the U.S. Navy’s Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division, will sign an Education Partnership Agreement at a formal signing ceremony on the university campus.

The recognition was based on Estrada’s “exceptional instruction, capacity to engage students, and just extremely positive feedback she received from those she has taught,” said university President Tomás D. Morales as he made the surprise announcement in front her class on Thursday morning.

CSUSB lecturer Donna Gotch, an educator and leader in communication studies, has been elected first vice president of the Western States Communication Association (WSCA), beginning a four-year leadership term. “As a native of Los Angeles, I am particularly excited about planning the 2027 convention in my hometown and giving back to the organization that has shaped my career,” Gotch said.
