CSUSB President Tomás Morales has been named co-chair of the Economic Recovery Research Team, which is part of the recently created Inland Empire Business and Employment Recovery Task Force.

The grant from the James Irvine Foundation supports the GIA’s organizational capacity, building and sustainability. The GIA’s mission is to improve the long-term economic outlook of the region through improving educational attainment rates.

The CSUSB community gathered on Dec. 16 to honor the memory of Abhishek Sudhesh, a graduate student from India, who was killed off campus on Thanksgiving Day. His family, in partnership with CSUSB, established a scholarship fund in Sudhesh’s name.

CSUSB was listed at No. 6 in CollegeNET’s 2019 Social Mobility Index, which measures the extent to which a college educates more economically disadvantaged students at lower tuition and graduates them into good paying jobs.
