
Members of the California State University (CSU) Board of Trustees visited the Cal State San Bernardino, Palm Desert Campus to meet with various members of the CSUSB community.

The Palm Desert iHub, which is a collaboration of the city of Palm Desert, the Coachella Valley Economic Partnership and CSUSB, will feature university programs in cybersecurity, hospitality management and entrepreneurship.

Scot Zentner (political science), Brian Levin (criminal justice), Michael Karp (history), Michael Salvador (communication studies), Mike Stull (entrepreneurship) and Ezekiel Bonillas (entrepreneurship adjunct) were included in recent news coverage.

CSUSB and its Palm Desert Campus will be closed Thursday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day. The university will reopen on Friday, Nov. 12.

The interdisciplinary group of faculty and student scholars is conducting qualitative interviews with local residents to uncover prominent cultural narratives concerning the Salton Sea and its impact.

Silvia Chiave, Consul General of Italy in Los Angeles, visited the Palm Desert Campus to discuss her life and career, her current role as Consul General, and provide perspectives about tourism in Italy and her time as a former sommelier.

The event is part of a special studies internship project for CSUSB undergraduate students Ruby Ramos of Fontana, Ana Gonzales-Munoz of Cathedral City and Carolina De La Herran of Indio.

Five members of the Cal State San Bernardino, Palm Desert Campus orientation team will speak at the 2021 NODA Annual Conference about the PDC Pack Prep program they developed for incoming students.
