
The CSUSB Innovation Challenge, set for May 5, is looking for the cutting-edge idea that will help change the campus, the community or quite possibly the world. Open pitch information sessions on how to participate are set for April 5 and 6.

CSUSB economics major Edward Zakher’s research earned him the top spot in his section at the CSU Student Research Competition.

Teams will combine their knowledge and ideas to solve real problems during the main event on May 23, from 5:30-10 p.m., at the CSUSB Visual Arts Building patio and Room 101. Intent-to-compete forms are due April 30.

In addition, the CSUSB Jazz Band and Jazz Combo, along with the vocalists, each received superior ratings at the festival’s competition.

Kinesiology major Jessica Heredia and business administration major Javier Lechuga were the winners of the third annual CSUSB Innovation Challenge, winning a $10,000 prize.
