Cal State San Bernardino students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to participate in a new webinar series exploring food sustainability. Hosted by the Sustainable Food Systems program within CSUSB’s Department of Health Science and Human Ecology, the series creates a forum for meaningful conversations about food sustainability while offering valuable resources for students pursuing the Sustainable Food Systems minor.
The next webinar will take place on Feb. 27, with additional sessions scheduled for March 13, March 27, April 10, April 24 and May 8. All sessions will be held from noon to 12:30 p.m. Each webinar features a 20-25 minute presentation or interview, followed by a question-and-answer session. The webinars are free and open to the public and will be held via Zoom.
This semester’s webinars will highlight agricultural research and practices led by the University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources. Presentations will examine the environmental, community and economic dimensions of sustainability throughout the food system — from production and transportation to processing, retail and consumption — including agriculture, cooking and baking, and nutrition.
