
Enrique Murillo Jr., a professor of education at CSUSB, and founder and executive director of Latino Education and Advocacy Days (LEAD), will be honored Sept. 23 for his work to improve the lives of the migrant community through education.

For the fourth time in five years, and for the third consecutive year, the CSUSB club and honor society has been named the best chapter in the nation by the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society.

The journal, which showcases the work of undergraduate and graduate students, won third prize in the 2018 Gerald D. Nash graduate print journal national competition, the first time it had been entered in this category.

The documentary co-produced by Ahlam Muhtaseb, CSUSB professor of communication studies, and Andy Trimlett to be honored by Rebuilding Alliance’s Storytellers: Media & Education Award.

The Office of Community Engagement (OCE) received a silver award for its “CSUSB Midterm Election Voter Campaign” under the TV/Video Advertising/PSA Series, according to the CAA.

Claudia Davis (nursing, interim chair, health science and human ecology) will be honored by the NAACP Riverside Branch, and Brian Levin (criminal justice) was quoted in an article about Facebook pivoting to private platforms.
