
“The Power of Communication in the Community” aims to display the practical aspects of public speaking in careers with NBC4’s Beverly White as the keynote speaker. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 16, from noon to 2 p.m.

Mary Fong, CSUSB professor of communication studies, has re-released her book “A Beautiful Blueprint,” the second memoir in her “A Magnificent Mess!” trilogy, with new chapters on the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The House of Trials,” directed by CSUSB assistant professor Kristi Papailler, is a 17th century romantic farce involving a brother and sister ensnared in a lover’s quadrangle! The play concludes its run this week with shows on Nov. 18, 19 and 20 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 21 at 2 p.m.

“The Impact of Education and Community Support: Successful Reentry Stories,” set for noon Thursday, Nov. 4, is the third program in The Justice Impacted Students Training Series, which began Sept. 30. It is a joint initiative hosted by Project Rebound, the Center for the Study of Correctional Education, Faculty Center for Excellence, Staff Development Center, and Division of Student Affairs.
