Jean Peacock (psychology) and Eri Yasuhara (world languages and literatures), the two founders of CSUSB’s University Faculty Mentoring Network were honored, and Brian Levin (criminal justice) was interviewed about a rarely prosecuted hate crime law.

Teams will combine their knowledge and ideas to solve real problems during the main event on May 23, from 5:30-10 p.m., at the CSUSB Visual Arts Building patio and Room 101.

Luis and Wendy Castaneira, both first-generation college students, will graduate together — each with honors — on Thursday, June 14. Luis will receive a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Wendy with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

The university will surpass 100,000 graduates during its five commencement ceremonies on Thursday and Saturday, June 14 and 16, when more than 3,500 students are expected to participate.

Four ceremonies for the university’s five academic colleges will take place beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday. The Palm Desert Campus held its commencement on June 14.
