
Stacey Ortiz, program specialist for the Doctorate in Educational Leadership program, will help lead the conference in Anchorage, Alaska, in March. NACADA is an association that consists of professional advisors, counselors, faculty, administrators and students who work together to enhance the educational development of students.

The IBAP grant (2023-25) provided $302,919, while the ExMILE grant (2024-25) contributed $391,564, with more years with the same funds directly supporting bilingual teacher candidates. Close to 60 bilingual teacher candidates benefited from these funds.

The lecture series launches its spring semester talks with a presentation by Debora Perez Torres, assistant professor of communication studies, on Feb. 12. Also scheduled are presentations by Michelle Russen (marketing), Yolonda Youngs (geography) and Hannah Kivalahula-Uddin (education). All talks are free and open to the public.

Viktor Wang, professor of educational leadership and technology, spoke at the 2024 International Symposium on Interdisciplinary Linguistic Research, which was organized by Beijing Language and Culture University in Beijing.

A weekend of ceremonies honored the efforts and dedication of approximately 1,900 graduates. Family and friends celebrated their achievement Dec. 13-14 at CSUSB’s Fall Commencement.

CSUSB’s Fall Commencement ceremonies will be held on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 13-14, at the university's Coussoulis Arena.

Three university-wide awards — Distinguished Alumnus, Emerging Leader and Coyote Spirit — will be presented, as well as the Paw Print Awards, which honor esteemed alumni from each of the university’s five colleges.
